8TH WORLD JUNIOR WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIPS

On December 10th, 2022, the 8th World Junior Wushu Championships at the Indonesia Convention and Exhibition Center in Tangerang City, Banten Province, Indonesia successfully came to an end. The competition was the largest in its history, attracting more than 800 contestants from 62 countries and regions.

 

Representing Alberta in Team Canada were National Wushu Team Coach Wu Fang and athlete Virginia Cai. Virginia participated in the highly competitive Women's A Group Changquan, Spear, and Sword categories, finishing in the top five and providing Team Canada with its greatest achievement at the tournament!
